So this past week I’ve been out west, and I’d like to share my journey with you.
We start out in Las Vegas, Nevada, were we land via Southwest Airlines. I’m from the north east, which is mostly lush forest and when I see this:

My mind is completely blown. I was really amazed at the landscape!
So I continue through the desert for a while, spotted with brush and tumbleweeds. Very few houses, and some cattle here and there. This is all new to me, I’m used to nothing but long stretches of cities and forest. The open desert is really something to see; especially at night.
After a night of partial rest, I drive through the desert some more, when suddenly:

…woods? Woods. Just like that. In the middle of the freakin desert.
LOTS of woods. It was absolutely gorgeous. I wasn’t expecting to see this in such an arid environment.
I stop for lunch at William, Arizona. It was satisfying and I decide to have some desert. I order coconut cream pie.
THE BIGGEST PIE EVER
HELP
I leave William and head for Tusayan, Arizona. The Grand Canyon.
I slowly walk up to the railing and behold the sight before me.

I can’t even. I just can’t. I’ll remember this for the rest of my life.

and then we found a squirrel so my dad gave it water

I continue out of Tusayan, headed for Lake Powell.
Red Faction anyone?

Around that area, I visit Antelope Canyon.

Oh and here’s my dad forcing me to take a cheesy picture of him holding a flame.

The desert and our tour guide

Surprisingly it wasn’t hot at all, just really fuckin windy. I leave Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon is next.
At Bryce, there are 30 mph winds and the temperature is down to 20 degrees. It was pretty crazy, but I got some shots in.

After Bryce, I go to Zion National Park.
The weather was AMAZING and everything was so nice.

Sorry for the shitty editing. That’s my mom btw.

And then a squirrel came up to us and demanded food.

Some random lady >:|

You notice how green it is here?
Yeah??

See how green that is? ^^
YEAH. Welcome to Pandora. OH WAIT NO THIS IS LESS THAN A MILE AWAY FROM ZION.

And finally I end my trip back in Las Vegas. I stop by Hoover Dam.

Then end!
